Team Check-In

Each club should have a representative present at the Captain’s Meeting scheduled for 7:00 AM.  Clubs will receive instructions for the day, and will be addressed by a representative of the referees.  

Game Play

10s is a great way to begin a season!  You get to hit and run for 10 minute halves, as we work off all of the rust from the long off-season.  For those unfamiliar with a 10s lineup, it is made up with the following players:   2 props, 1 hooker, 2 locks, 1 scrum-half, and 4 backs.  Each match consists of two 10-minute halves, with a 5 minute break between.  It’s that easy!      

South Side Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade

There will be quite a few teams at Whiskey 10s from out of town this year.  For those of you who may not be familiar with the South Side, this is also the weekend of the famed South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade.  The parade takes place on Sunday morning, just a few short miles from our rugby grounds.  Specifically, it begins on 99^th & Western Ave (Chicago), and proceeds through 115^th St.  The route ends at Kennedy Park, where the South Side Irish will take on the Northwest Woodsmen in front of a neighborhood crowd.  If you're interested in making an event of Sunday, plan to get to the parade by 10:00 AM, as the area gets crowds up fast with over a hundred thousand people out to celebrate!  Get there if you can, it's a great time!
